Research On The Construction And Management Of Development Zones Based On The Industrial Agglomeration Theory

With the development of economic globalization, similar or related industriesclustered in the same location, and become increasingly interdependent, industrialagglomeration has become the powerful engine of economic growth. More and moreexperts began to pay attention to the phenomenon of industrial agglomeration, and wealso can find a large number of successful examples in many countries. Such asSilicon Valley, Tsukuba Science City and the Zhongguancun Science Park, etc. Theindustrial agglomeration has become a worldwide phenomenon.Also, since the first Development Zone was established in China in the1980s,development zones have generated vast economic and social benefits. Especially thenational level development zones, they have been developing rapidly. However,China’s Development Zone still have many problems, such as lack of long-termplanning, without a complete industrial chain, a large number of enterprises justsimple concentration etc. Especially, the Development Zone which pursue thetemporary economic benefits, have to sacrifice their own industry characteristics,affect sustainability of the development.Development Zone is an important carrier of industrial agglomeration, its development also cannot do without agglomeration. Therefore, using the theory ofindustrial agglomeration, analyze the current situation and existing problems ofDevelopment Zones, and on this basis, in view of government, put forward thesuggestions, to promote the rapid development of development zones and industrialagglomeration, has a very important theoretical and practical significance.This paper started from the concept and basic theory, elaborated the connotationof the Development Zone and industrial agglomeration, and expounds the concept,development and classification of the development zone of industrial agglomeration.Secondly, in the analysis of Development Zone, and the foundation of domesticindustry development zone cluster development mode, draw experience and trend ofthe coordinated development of Development Zones and industrial agglomeration,and summarizes the main factors affecting the development of industry clusterdevelopment under the current. Finally, combined with the theoretical research, withWenzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone for an example, analyzethe existing problems. Combined with the previous analysis and related theories,propose the possible leading industry and industry agglomeration mode, also putforward policy suggestions accordingly.
