Performance Appraisal Research For Software R&D Systest In A Network Company

Software as a soul of the hi-tech product is playing an increasingly important role in the information industry, software development and testing is the key job in the high-tech R&D center. Software testing determines the quality of software products, which plays an important role in the software product development process. Software testing is a strong professional, creative, challenging and schedule driven job. Therefore, there’re always difficulties on how to identify the key factors of performance assessment, how to measure the outputs and how to grade the job title when manage the system tester’s performance.This thesis is based on the theory of management by objectives, combined with the characteristics of the R&D center of company J, provides an overall analysis of company J’s MBO based performance appraisal system. In the course of the analysis, firstly some common performance appraisal theory are reviewed, then describes J’s company overall information, corporate culture, organizational structure and so on, focus on the current situation of China’s R&D center, summarized key information on the SW system test job characteristics and technical requirements, etc., provided enough analytical information for improving the performance appraisal system for SW system tester. Then describe the company’s talent performance appraisal system in detail, during the understanding of the talent system, some problems in the existing performance appraisal system are identified. Combining the theory of management by objectives, the thesis provides the proposal on how to address those problems and comes out an execution plan.
