With the opening of Shanghai gold exchange market, Gold becomes a free trade commodity in China. Gold is no longer a special commodity, which cannot be freely traded in China, after the opening, China gold market is going to follow the steps of the international gold market, the future development of China gold market is promising. As one of the largest gold company in China, XC company develops fast recent years, and achieved leadership in the industry. But as a classical resource dependence and state-owned enterprise, XC company faces the crisis of resource decreasing and cannot get rid of disadvantages of state-owned enterprise. On the background of fierce competence of the market, designing the correct and effective development strategy is the top priority of the company.This paper uses the related concepts and theories of strategy management and analyzes the related factors to our gold industry and gold market Based on the first hand materials and related document of the industry, a summary of XC company’s advantages and disadvantages; chances and threats is given. Then we design the XC company’s company strategy and measures and plans to realize the strategy, which is a reference for other companies in the same industry.
