Comparative Study Of BRIC Countries’technical Structure Of Export Trade

As a representative of emerging economics, the rapid economic development of Brazil, India, Russian and China has attracted worldwide attention, and the rise of foreign trade plays a very important role in the four countries’ economic development. In recent year, There are great changes in BRIC countries’ trade size, commodity structure, trade partners, this paper’s study concentrates on the BRIC Countries’ trade technical structure.The BRIC Countries have diverse trade technical structures, the second chapter from the technical structure of export commodities trade, major trading partners analyzes the technical structure of BRIC countries’ export commodities. The conclusion is found:BRIC countries mainly export resource-based or labor-intensive products, export markets mainly focus on the USA, the European Union and other developed countries.After analyzing the merchandise trade technical structure of the BRIC, in this paper, the third chapter references Du Xiuli and Wang Weiguo (2007) for the calculation method of technical content, selecting the relevant data from2000to2012, by investigating the SITC three bit code of260kinds of product technology content of the four countries, and on the basis of building technology content distribution of export goods, from the angle of horizontal and vertical to analyze the technology content of the BRIC comparatively. the analysis are found that:despite the BRIC trade is developing rapidly, export trade structure is not good, and high-tech exports are less. Brazil and Russia mainly export resource-intensive products, while India exports labor-intensive products and the commodity structure of China is relatively optimized, but the export products still give priority to the low technology content products on the whole.After analysis of the trade technical structure of the four countries, the fourth chapter also calculates trade competition and complementary index of the BRIC to analyze the four countries trade structure in the international market, the result is found the complementary of the BRIC trade structure is strong and lays a foundation for cooperation and development. In addition, Compared the impact of the other three countries to China’s trade technical structure, the impact of China to the other three countries’ trade technical structure is relatively larger. However, with the growing of the trade of the other three countries, China’s trade development will be influenced definitely.In the end of the paper, the author provides relevant policy suggestions for China’s technical structure of export trade.
