As the country’s12th five-year’s plan put forward and implemented, conceptssuch as environmental protection and energy saving are more and more widelyaccepted by people. Construction steel structure industry belongs to the new and hightechnology industries supported by state policy. However,in this industry, the lowtechnical content and small investment have caused low barriers to entry. The industryis established by more and more newly small and medium enterprises, which leads tofierce competition among them.Based on the company’s actual situation, combined with the general principles ofstrategic management, this paper has implemented system analysis and empiricalresearch on the development strategy of Hunan Dajin structure engineering Co., LTD.Firstly, it analyzes the internal and external environment of the company, lookingfor opportunities and threats in the external environment, advantages anddisadvantages of the internal environment. Then, based on SWOT analysis and thestrategic target, it is determined the development strategy of “the give priority to withintensive growth strategy, integration and diversification strategies for auxiliary" anddifferentiation competitive strategy. Finally, this article predicts the possible obstaclesin the process of implementation, expounds the solutions to these obstacles andsafeguard measures, in order to make clear and appropriate development strategiesdifferent from large enterprises.The current steel industry has great development space, huge market demand,multilateral institutions policy support and increasing industry competition. In thiscase, as the representative of small and medium-sized enterprise, Hunan Dajin SteelStructure Engineering Co., LTD has limited business scope and resources, which issuitable for internal intensive growth strategy. It should use differentiationcompetitive strategies to win in the fierce competition. It is hoped that this article canbring certain reference significance to other industry enterprises.
