Enlightenment Of Market Socialism To Construction Of Socialist Market Economy

Market Socialism genre is based on the critique of capitalism and advocates retaining the market system. It advocates improving production relations of the confrontation and conflict caused by the survival of the fittest of capitalist market economy. Market socialism theory mainly explores the combination of the market and socialism. It has gone through two development stages, which are the traditional market socialism and contemporary market socialism.This paper introduces the connotation and development process of market socialism. It analyzes the redesign with the socialist factors of contemporary market socialism. The redesign is based on problems about market economy in terms of ownership of productive means, investment, management and distribution of profits. It evaluates the rationality and limitations of the redesign. Specifically, it elaborates from three aspects:Firstly, it analyses the theory origin and evolution of market socialism from a historical perspective, and leads to the development of the contemporary market socialism. Secondly, it compares China’s socialist market economy theory with the contemporary market socialism and clarifies the similarities and differences between them. Thirdly, it discusses implications to China’s socialist market economy in terms of productivity and production relations, under the background of comprehensively deepen reform.It advocates that the socialist market economy is established on the basis of the socialist system and pursuits the development objective of common prosperity. There are two main common points between market Socialism and contemporary market socialism:Firstly, Both sides agree with the combination between socialism and market economy; Secondly, Both sides also criticizes the disadvantages of capitalist market economy. There are two radical difference between market Socialism and contemporary market socialism:Firstly, the latter emphasizes that the actual principle of survival of the fittest will accumulate productivity for reaching the final common prosperity; the former emphasizes the improvement way to alleviate the social confrontation made by principle of survival of the fittest. Secondly, the latter argues that the government should play the role better; the former declines to government having more function. Obviously, the similarities between the two sides decide that the socialist market economy can get some ideas from market socialism theory.
