China is one of the big deer farming countries in the world and it is the earliestcountry on its deer products used for medical care. Chinese deer farming has a longhistory and especially in recent decades it developed fast and formed large-scale. TheInner Mongolia autonomous region and the three northeastern provinces is the mainfarming area of China deer industry and in these provinces and region deer farmingbelong to the local special farming. At present, the deer industry plays a more and more important role in the main support area economic development status, especially inthe adjustment of rural industrial structure, increasing the income of the farmers andthe deer farming has become a pillar industry in the prosperity of the rural economyin these provinces and region. At the same time the deer farming industry in the main farming area of our country is faced with many challenges, such as domestic policyrestriction, by the impact of emerging countries’ deer farming and their deer productsmarket, which lead to the main contradictions and practical problems, which is becoming more and more serious in main farming area of China. Therefore, it is an important issue currently that how to correctly analyze and solve the problems existing in the development of deer industry in China, adjust the strategy in time and take appropriate measures.In view of this, the basic situation of New Zealand deer farming industry, Russia deerfarming industry, Europe deer farming industry, North American deer farming industry, othercountries deer farming industry were analyzed this paper by taking the field investigation-theexchange forum-site visit-exchange of information-information and other inquiries. Thegap between China deer farming industry and foreign deer farming industry were compared,analyzed and at same time the enlightenment for our deer farming industry were alsosummarized by putting China deer farming industry into the global environment.The international market from the two aspects of fresh velvet antler and dry velvet antlerwas analyzed. The gaps and deficiencies still exist in many aspects of our deer farmingthrough the comparing of the domestic market and the international market. The deer farmingsituation in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the northeast three provinces wasanalyzed through the aspects of deer breeding situation, deer product developmentsituation, deer products marketing, existing problems and cause.The SWOT analysis method was utilized in this study to analyze the internal and external factors of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the northeast three provinces.The deer industry development advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats weremainly analyzed. The SWOT matrix was formed by setting out the advantages anddisadvantages, potential opportunities and threats, then through the advantages andopportunities, weaknesses and opportunities, advantages and strengths, weaknesses andthreats that two corresponding to each other according to the affecting primary and secondaryfactors. Relying on internal advantage factors, make full use of external opportunities,improve their own competitiveness, reduce the internal disadvantage factors, avoid externalthreats, to realize the production standardization and normalization for the bigger and strongerdeer industry. This study proposed Inner Mongolia and three northeastern provinces deerindustry future development strategies, in order to provide some references and the scientificreference for promoting the deer industry development in China. Combined with thesuccessful case to analyze and formulate marketing strategy, to make the deer farmingindustry of Inner Mongolia and three northeastern provinces in the leading position on theChina and the international deer products market. Based on the domestic and foreign deerfarming industry present situation analysis, proposed the Inner Mongolia autonomous regionand the three northeast provinces deer industry future development strategy, hoping to providereference for promoting the deer industry development, and provide a reference for the studyof the deer industry in China.
