Manufacturing is the basic industry of economy in our country, which accounted for the largest proportion in the national economy, and it plays an important role in our economic development. The quality of products serves as the basis for the survival and development of the manufacturing enterprise. In recent years, our country has taken measures to improve product quality, yet there are still a number of problems. Except for the external factors, such as the purchase of material or the imperfection of national policies and legislations, the reason of these problems is mainly attributed to the management slack of quality inside enterprises. Hence, it is particularly important to systematically analyze and study the quality management of manufacturing enterprises and its internal factors. In this way, we can not only offer ideas for manufacturing enterprises to improve their product quality, but also can provide theoretical support for strengthening the competitiveness of enterprises.This paper is based on the theories of product quality management and the methods of system dynamics. We analyze the key factors affecting the quality of products inside manufacturing enterprises, then make exploration and study on both strategies and measures of the improvement of product quality. First of all, we comb the domestic and foreign literatures, which are related to quality management research. According to the international researchers on the analysis and comparison of quality management elements, we ascertain the key factors affecting the quality of products inside enterprises. Then we guide by the theory of quality management. By means of system dynamics simulation software, i.e., Vensim,we construct the causality diagram on enterprise staff, production process and cost. System flowchart on manufacturing workers has been established, and the impacts of manufacturing workers on the quality management due to the change of the turnover of staff have been analyzed as well. In the end, we evaluate the influence factors of product quality via grey correlation analysis. The influence degrees of these factors on product quality are arranged, which provides theoretical support and help for the improvement of product quality management. The main research achievements of the paper are as follows:(1) We study not only the theory and practice of quality management, domestically and internationally, but also conclude the applications of system dynamics in manufacturing enterprises. Furthermore, we clear the characteristics and the using range of the system dynamics method, and summarize the advantages of the application of system dynamics to product quality research.(2) By means of summarizing and analyzing process, we understand various factors which effecting the quality of products. Meanwhile, the key factors affecting the quality of products inside manufacturing enterprises have been confirmed. We design the modeling steps, establishing the causal feedback chart between the factors. The relationship between the factors has been described and its effects on product quality have been analyzed.(3) We draw the system flowchart on manufacturing workers, which is built on the platform of vensim. According to the interaction relationship between the variables, we build the mathematical equations to characterize it and analyze the results of the simulation, so as to discuss the influence of personnel changes on product quality.(4) We evaluate the factors effecting on product quality via using grey correlation analysis method, and arrange the influence degree of these factors, which provides ideas for improving the product quality management. Moreover, we combine with actual production, putting forward strategies and measures on the improvement of product quality management for manufacturing enterprises, which are the optimization of manufacturing tache, the optimization of manufacturing worker and the optimization of cost, etc.This paper is the combination of the system dynamics with the grey correlation analysis method. We study the factors effecting on product quality from both qualitative view and quantitative view. Besides, we adjust the management mode of conventional ex-product control to the systematically analysis before decision. What’s important is this approach provides new ideas for quality plan and quality control. Therefore, this paper has certain innovation in terms of application.
