With the economic globalization,the environment of the market is becoming more and more complex. Facing the fierce market competition, many enterprises are taking a different strategic direction, to build their own sustainable competitiveness. As an innovative strategic direction, will entrepreneurial orientation promote the corporate’s performance in the market situation of China? If so, what means will it by to influence the corporate’s performance?In order to find the answers of the questions above, this study make competency of top manager as an entry point to reveal the mechanism and the path of competency of top manager’s influence to the relationship of entrepreneurial orientation and corporate performance, based on the Chinese scene.The study will first set up the model of competency of top manager, using BEI, Structured Questionnaires and Expert Panel; then it will build the concept model of the relationship among entrepreneurial orientation, competency of top manager and the corporate performance, based on plenty of document, and hypothesize; in the last, the study will collect data through questionnaire. And do the empirical analysis by SPSS19.0and AMOS17.0to test the hypothesis.Through the analysis to the data, the study obtains the conclusion as follows:First, the model of competency of top manager that is accordant to entrepreneurial orientation can be divided into4dimensions:the business features, the conceptual features, the interpersonal features and the Internal driven features,and includes15competency elements.Second, entrepreneurial orientation has positive in promoting the corporate performance.The influence mainly comes from innovation and antecedent.Third, competency of top manager has a positive influence on corporate performance. Forth, competency of top manager plays a part intermediation role in the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and corporate performance. And it plays a part intermediation role in the relationship between antecedent and corporate performance too, but a fully intermediation role in the relationship between innovation and corporate performance.
