As the development of economic globalization process, in the overwhelming majority of the world’s regions and areas, market boundaries have been broken. At present, China is the world’s second scale economies and the world manufacturing center, is also one of the largest and most dynamic markets in the world. The vast majority of foreign industry leader has already entered Chinese market, and has been dependent on it. Currently, US and Japanese economy have not yet bottomed out, the Euro zone’s economic situation continues to deteriorate, the Chinese market has become the large company’s most important dependencies, thus becoming the most dynamic and most competitive market.Elevator is a supporting industry of real estate. Currently, China is in rapid process of urbanization, the real estate is showing a flourishing, and providing elevator industry with a huge space for development. The policy environment of Chinese elevator industry is completely open, fierce competition between the world’s leading companies and local companies in this industry is allowed. In such a competitive environment, how to grasp the opportunities is a matter worthy of consideration.This dissertation takes KONE (KONE Elevator) as an industry representative and research it from the strategic point, basing its exterior competition environment, and its internal resources capabilities analysis, according to SWOT analysis and strategic position analysis method, screen the core competitiveness of KONE elevator,chose the company strategy, establish the holistic developing strategic planning, and present related suggestion to the implementation of strategic planning.The core competitiveness of KONE is base on leading R&D system and capabilities, the international reputation of the brand, integration of corporate culture, good public relationship,widespread acceptance of MONOSPAC, expired patent, relative harmonious double brand system and leading business model. The "Lesser asset and focuses on operation" strategy bring high return on net assets. Rely on KONE’s core ability, integrate it’s mission and vision, this paper asks KONE in the next strategic cycle by the integrate cost leadership/differentiation strategy. According to the actual situation development strategy target, the paper elaborated a plan mainly includes company infrastructure, human resources management, technology development, procurement, manufacturing, distribution, sale and service and other functions. To assure company’s development strategy goal is able to come true as scheduled, the strategic management and correction system were established.By research the fact which KONE Elevators have to face, I aim at grasping deeper development trend of China’s elevator industry. I hope the dissertation would provide reference for people from all walks of life.
