Lead time control is a critical point of the production management of project mode. Nowadays, encountering the global economic depression and the domestic market saturation on one hand and facing the development opportunities on the other hand, it is an important act for a company to enter the international market especially to provide corollary equipment to the world’s top500machinery companies so as to achieve a rapid development. Products with shorter lead time will stand out in the competition. Meanwhile, expanding business abroad will increase the staff’s sense of pride for the national brand. Therefore, it is of great significance for a company’s survival and development to strengthen the lead time control and shorten the production cycle.This thesis does a thorough■research on the problems of□aad time controh based on the carefud Spudy about the cases at□home an+a"road nn lead time control, analyzes the project production planning system and makes the breakdown structure and network diagram for projects by MS Office Project. It studies the arrangement and implementation process of the project schedule, discusses the project schedule control theory and process and adjusts the schedule in time according to the actual progress in order to ensure the project’s implementation.Meanwhile, this thesis analyzes the present problem of delay in delivery combining with the current situation of H’s lead time control and works out an effective lead time control strategy which suits H aiming at problems arising in the process of design, procurement and manufacture. Through the benchmarking analysis on the lead time control conducted by the two world’s famous companies Airliquide and GE, this thesis establishes a suitable project organization mechanism for H, optimizes the production plan system and the arrangement of the JIT production plan, improves the efficiency of production by optimizing the production process in the production progress and improves the production cycle by strengthening the control before, during and after the production. It solves the problems of delay in delivery of outsourcing parts in the procurement progress by improving the procurement plans and procedures and establishing the methods such as the tracking system for the procurement process and the performance evaluation. It ensures that the design conforms to the delivery requirements during the design phase through improving the framework and workflow of the technical department and conducting the design process control and assessment. To conscientiously implement the lead time control measures studied and formulated in this thesis will provide the theoretical and practical methods for H’s lead time control, so as to make up for the present shortcomings of the lead time control in the project organization structure, planning system, design phase, procurement phase and production phase, shorten the production cycle, improve the company’s lead time control level and quickly meet customers’delivery requirements. Only in these ways can HL keep growing.
