The Study On The Designing And Application Of Venture Capital Project Comprehensive Evaluation Index System

Venture capital started in1980s in China, having been developing for more than30years till now. Venture capital has stepped into a fast growing period in our country since1988, when the amount of venture capital, most of which came from private capital, began togrow very fast. Experiences in foreign countries shows that venture capital plays a veryimportant role in converting study achievements into products. Developing venture capitalaccords with the main trend of changing the way of developing China. However, due to lackof experience, there is still no complete theory basis to help China develop this industry.This study focuses on project evaluation in the venture capital process. Firstly, this paperstudied the results of research in the evaluation index field and the evaluation method field,and then developed a specific evaluation index based on the special aspects of the bio-pharmaceutical industry. After that, this paper developed an evaluation model based on thefuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and studied a case using this model.This paper used literature study, specialist inquiry and SPSS analysis methods and othermethods to do the research. First of all, this study reviewed the achievements in the projectevaluation index in the venture capital fields and find the most common used indexes； thenby studying the special characteristics of the bio-pharmaceutical industry and developed anew evaluation index system based on the most common used indexes； after that, this studymodified the index system based of specialist inquiry and checked the reasonability of theindex system by SPSS analysis using the data obtained by another specialist inquiry and builta evaluation model based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method； finally a casestudy was introduced to use the evaluation model.The innovation of this research lies in: filling in an empty gap in this field, for thereare rare studies in the project evaluation in the bio-pharmaceutical industry. Secondly usingqualitative and quantitative methods to build a more scientific project evaluation indexsystem building a model to evaluate the venture capital projects in the bio-pharmaceuticalindustry with higher systematic characteristics and easier to use.
