| The object of study in this work are prerequisites and prospects of Russia’s involvement in the processes of energy integration and infrastructure development in China, as well as special characteristics of the natural gas industry and the basic elements of formation of China’s dependence on energy import. This manuscript considers directions of formation and implementation of strategic principles of the export segment development of foreign economic cooperation between Russia and China, and provides the scientific concept of the development strategy of Russian natural gas export to China. By applying the principles of systems approach, methods of economic, statistical, and factor analysis, during the process of study of dialectical analysis methods were formulated the following conclusions:the further development of relations between China and Russia in the field of gas import/export will always be among the top priorities of foreign economic activities, since Russia, with taking into account China’s huge domestic market, is the most geographically close and profitable gas exporter for China. Considering above-mentioned, it is necessary to take into account existence of differences in the energy supply to the northern and south-eastern regions of China, as, in the first case, the pipeline supply of natural gas is the most optimal, and, in case of south-east China, it is possible to develop supply in the form of LNG, since there are infrastructure facilities and capacities for LNG regasification in this part of the country. For Russia, China is a very interesting partner in terms of formation of export and economic relations. This country (China) is very welcomed as an active importer of Russian gas. A booming industry in China, population growth, and, consequently, energy consumption, may lay a background for a long-term mutually beneficial Russian-Chinese cooperation. |
