A Case Study About The Operating Environment Risk In The GE Project Of The Company

Railway investment project features large input, long term, government strategy influence. Among the project implementation, there are all kinds of risk which maybe bring loss further more the disaster, in turn, maybe the profit source. The key point is how to deal with risk an how to take effective action to response.Within several years before2011, Chinese railway building was prosperous and large-scale investment bring big scale technical revolution in the railway related industries and the project to expand production capacity was initiated. Currently, these projects have mostly finished the building an entered into the mass production stage. However, Chinese railway market has shrinked comparing with that in previous years. As a result, many railway equipment manufacturers faces excess production capacity and the return on assets is facing severe challenge.Therefore, there is significant realistic value to research and spread the risk management of railway investment project for Chinese railway an its related industry in order to secure a stable, continuous and rapid economy development.This paper targets one railway moving equipment manufacture Company to research its project running environment and its management strategy. This paper mainly research the running risk involved both during and after the project implementation. Through making use of related theories such as project risk management and running environment analysis and incorporating the industry characteristic of this company and its current condition, the cause which incur the risk and its influence are deeply analyzed and the responding management measures are put forward in terms of project and improve company’s management benefit.This paper contains4chapters and the chapter1introduces the Background, purpose and significance of the research; Chapter2mainly introduce the project details and simple analysis is given on running environment before implementation; Chapter3, the theory analysis is given where respectively introduces the project risk, project risk management, project running environment analysis, and running risk factors are identified and analyzed based on the theory analysis; Chapter4feasible management measures are put forwarded based on project risk management theory and making a reference to the risk factors in Chapter3.
