In China,“carbon labels” is a new topic. It was implemented in order to reducecarbon emissions and mitigate climate change. It was originally introduced by the UK,and quickly spread to the developed countries and regions, and then spread todeveloping countries. In recent years, typhoon、drought、a wide range of heavysnowfall and other extreme weather appeared frequently, coupled with the mist hazephenomena, all the signs are that the issue of climate change mitigation is of greaturgency. Developed countries have advantages in such aspects as economy,technology, and they are at the forefront in many fields. In2007, Britain began toexperimentation with a carbon label system, and gradually developed a nationwide,the rest of the world have also joined the tide of carbon labels.Developing countries represented by our country, due to the disadvantage of therespect such as technology, capital, are in very bad position in the wave of carbonlabels.As well as the technical trade barriers, green trade barriers, developedcountries tend to rationalize the purpose of these policies. The developed countriesgive it with gorgeous coat, such as promoting technology innovation and protectingthe environment, but its essence is a kind of trade barriers for the purpose of selfprotection. Compared with tariffs, quotas, etc, this kind of trade barriers is moreconcealment. Carbon labels system is a new trade barrier which is more concealment.At first, this paper expatiates on the concept of carbon labels, includingcomprehensive learning representative views from scholars at home and abroad, givesmy own definition, and then analyzes the characteristics of the carbon labels system.Finally summed up the practice situation in terms of carbon labels, including theUnited Kingdom, Japan, Germany, the United States, France and so on. It alsoanalyzes the present situation in a carbon label system in China including Taiwan.The second part analyzes the carbon labels in international trade between differentsubjects from the perspective of game theory, including game between the two countries which are at the same level of economic development, game between thetwo countries which are at different levels of economic development, game betweenexport enterprises and the developed countries. The third part has analyzed the carbonlabels system from the Angle of economic effect to the influence of the exporter andimporter, involving industry effect, social welfare effect and terms of trade effect. Inaddition, directly affect of carbon labels on the import and export countries onlyreflected in the short term. In the long run, its effects may change after takingeffective coping strategies by the exporter. The fourth part focuses on the impact ofcarbon labels to our country, analysis of the influence of carbon labels to our countrywhich is imposed by the developed countries and regions. This part systematicallyand comprehensively analyzed the positive influence and negative influence on ourcountry. The fifth part puts forward the coping strategies in our country, respectivelyfrom the consumer level, enterprise level, the industry association level and nationallevel. It enhanced the effectiveness of policy implementation effect.In this paper, the analysis of carbon labels is clear, detail and reasonable. It notonly expounds the development status quo of carbon labels in different countries, alsoanalyzed the impact on international trade of carbon labels from the perspective ofgame theory and the economic effect. This enhances the persuasive, and givesreference for the developing countries.
