The Research On Technological Competitiveness Of China’s Communication Equipment Manufacturing

During the last30years, China’s telecommunications equipment manufacturing industry has grown gradually. The industrial scale has expanded. It becomes an important part of the national economic system. In the21st century, the role of the technical elements is particularly evident in the process of industrial development. Technology has become a key factor for the further development of China’s telecommunications equipment manufacturing industry. Therefore, in order to ensure the long-term development of the industry, we need to evaluate the level of technological competitiveness, and then put forward the development suggestions.This article obtains from industrial characteristic to summarize the status and problems of China’s telecommunications equipment manufacturing industry. the technological element becomes more important for industrial development; secondly, on the basis of the existing competitiveness evaluation index system, we construct communications equipment manufacturing technology competitiveness evaluation index system; then, in use of individual evaluation and comprehensive evaluation, we evaluate the technological competitiveness and calculate the technological competitiveness index in different periods of the industry for qualitative and quantitative analysis; finally, put forward suggestions to enhance the technological competitiveness from the perspective of enterprise, government, technology services industry and industry cooperation.This study concluded that from2009to2012, the level China’s telecommunications equipment manufacturing technological competitiveness is rising year by year, and it has reached a certain level around the world. But we still need to create a good technology competition state in the future. The strategies and recommendations for technological competitiveness include four dimensions. We believe that companies should play a leading role in the process of technological innovation. The government should play its macro-control functions. While establishing a sound technical service system is necessary.4G is an opportunity to create a good industrial collaborative industry environment to enhance technological competitiveness.
