Since the invention of radio communication,the communication industry has been developing in knowledge and talents for more than one hundred years.A lot of new technologies have brought great convenience to human in the application of society.Especially since the middle of last century,the world communication industry has gone through a tremendous change and become the fastest growing industry motivated by the forth information technology revolution and economic globalization.China has formed a more complete communication equipment manufacturing industry after 20 years of technology introduction and more than 10 years of independent research and development.In particular,some excellent local communication equipment manufacturers like HUAWEI,ZTE,have grown up in the fierce competition.Therefore,it's helpful to understand the export advantages and disadvantages of Chinese communication equipment products narrow the gaps between China and the developed countries and enhance the Chinese export competitiveness in communication equipment manufacturing industry by studying export competitiveness of Chinese commnication equipment manufacturing industry.The first chapter of this paper mainly reviews the domestic and foreign research fruits and describes the research background and significance.The second chapter mainly introduces the relevant theories of competitiveness and usual assessment method and gives a detailed definition of the communication equipment manufacturing industry.The third chapter mainly introduces the current situation and characteristics of China's communication equipment manufacturing industry and compares with the major competitors in the international market.Based on the related theories of competitiveness in second chapter,I establish a system of comprehensive evaluation suitable for export competitiveness in the fourth chapter,combined with the characteristics of China's communication equipment manufacturing industry.The paper studies the factors about the export competitiveness of China's telecommunication equipment manufacturing industry by a single indicator factor analysis,comprehensive evaluation analysis and multiple linear regression model analysis.The fifth chapter summarizes the research results of this paper and puts forward some reasonable suggestions for the main problems.This paper finds that the export competitiveness of China's telecommunication equipment manufacturing industry has significantly improved through the comprehensive analysis of the index data from 1998 to 2014.Through the analysis of the single indicator data,we can see that the high technology density has been shown in the communication equipment manufacturing industry.Through the comprehensive analysis of the export competitiveness,we can see that the growth of trade strength and the potential competition are obvious.While there also have a certain degree of improvement in profit ability,but the range is not obvious.The reason is that the main business is still processing trade low value-added in China's telecommunication equipment manufacturing industry.Through multiple linear regression model analysis,the product exports and export competitiveness,trade openness,human capital levels were positively correlated,but the improve of export competitiveness has the most obvious effect on the promotion of export volume.Finally,based on the above annalysis,this paper proposes some relevant recommendations to improve the export competitiveness from the value chains specialization level,the core technology level,industry structure,industry concentration degree.This paper is not only analyses the trade strength and profitability of the export competitiveness of the communication equipment manufacturing industry,but also analyses factors that affect the competitive potential based on the comprehensive index system.That's may be the innovation.The shortcoming is not quantizing the qualitative index such as competitive environment and transferring the environment index into the evaluation system combined with trade strength,competition potential,profitability.So there may be some deviations in the evaluation of export competitiveness.
