Case Study On Technology Sourcing Overseas M&A And Technical Innovation

More and more companies are focusing on technology sourcing overseas M&A. From the prospect of resource similarity and complementarity, we have done a research on M&A and technical innovation. From a theoretical point of view, we put forward the way how M&A integration influences technical innovation. From the prospect of resource similarity and complementarity, we analyze how the similarity and complementarity of resource influences integration. Then we chose typical cases to do deep research and test wether the results are proper.We find that the similarity and complementarity of different kinds of resource have different impact on technical innovation. Proper degree of integration should be chosen to match the resource similarity and complementarity. Stronger the similarity of resource is, deeper integration is needed to improve technical innovation.
