As social economic development and people’s living standards improved, The public demand for chilled food is also growing. Compared to the hot meat, frozen meat, the fresh frozen meat,both in taste and nutritional value are in more advantage. As a form of meat consumption, The fresh frozen meat is more popular In recent years. Due to the nature of its perishable, Which demands more higher level of distribution. How do to ensure to improve the quality and efficiency of the delivery of fresh frozen meat under the premise of the smallest delivery costs and the most short of traveling time is an important part of the current study. This paper takes M company,meat processing,as the research object. Taking self-support cold chain distribution will not only generating large investment costs, but also producing quite a lot of coordination and development issues in the construction of the distribution network, especially in the fresh frozen meat distribution field, Lack of scientific planning to allocating the resources, which will resulting in the waste of resources and extra higher delivery costs. Therefore, how to establish a distribution route optimization model suitable for M company, which is based on the current condition of M company distribution network and the characteristics of distribution of the fresh frozen meat, is the current issue that M company facing,which also has important practical significance to M company.Combined with the research achievements of domestic and international logistics distribution path optimization, we studied for the company’s distribution route optimization problem, This paper takes the distribution routing problem of M company as the research object. Firstly, systematically analyst of the basic theory of the vehicle route problem, briefly introduces the cold chain logistics and vehicle routing problem related theory; Secondly, we analyzed about the present situation of the company’s distribution, In allusion to the problem of the vehicle route choice is not scientific, Considering the distribution assignment and the characteristics of distribution of the fresh frozen meat. We have established the same start and end points velodrome, non-loaded, time window constraints with refrigerated vehicle cooling costs VRP model. The objective of the optimization model is to minimize the cost of transport; its capacity constraints are customer needs, service and delivery time requirements of the vehicle. Again, through analysis and comparison of the various algorithm principle, characteristics and operation steps,then find out that Genetic algorithm is more suitable for solving this problem. Finally, the use of MATLAB tools for this case with improved genetic algorithm based on the Jinan region of cold meat delivery route, has conducted the optimal route plans. By comparing before and after optimization of various route options, we found out that the new route options whether in terms of distribution costs, distribution distance, delivery time or in vehicle loading rate, have been significantly improved.
