Research Into The Thai Railway Transportation Development,Problems And Countermeasures

As we all know, the railway transport is more energy saving than other modes of transport, which can reduce the transportation cost but remain high security; in addition, rate of emissions is also lower than other modes of transport. But the railway transport level of Thailand is quite low, the government and most researchers discovered the methods to develop railway transportation, and are working on a plan of railway infrastructure development, in order to improve the railway transport capacity of Thailand, in response to the2015opening of Thailand economic development needs of the ASEAN economy.This research found that the government of Thailand has early prepared the development of the railway transportation system project plan, but due to the change of government, it has not been able to successfully implement the project management, which lack of continuity. Nowadays,(this study focuses on the period from Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to the government of General Prayuth Chan-ocha for Austrian poor general policy), the development of railway system infrastructure has become a hot issue in all parts of Thailand’s attention.This study aim for the railway transportation problems and the policy recommendations for the problems through import and export of data collection and analysis of growth year after year, analysis the future trend for Thailand if it has a regional transport strategy potential, coupled with the geographical position of Thailand makes itself become the southern China and Laos sea channel, showing that Thailand has the unique natural conditions to become Southeast Asia area transportation center.The research methods are divided into1) to collect on the railway transportation system problems and development policies to solve the problem2) to collect the domestic and international levels transportation system data analysis using various forms of transport rate3) to put forward the research results.According to the result of the study, has found the problems of the railway system, the management inside the corporation system that make unclear overlapping responsibilities, therefore, this research decided to study the railway system of Japan and Thailand over the same period. As far as policy is concerned, to successfully develop the railway, it must consider the investment return time. From the year over year, the frequency of consumers using the railways can be gradually clearer seen, the high-speed trains and dual tracks system will contribute to the expansion of economic development, is also a good choice for a new era of consumers to meet the globalization era rapidly growth, such convenient and comfortable requirements.
