Producer services act as interediary industry whichprovides goods or services to other production sectors. It has great industrial relevance. In today’s global economy it has bee n developing rapidly. It can also absorb more labor transfer and thedigestion and absorptio n of new technologies, which has great potential for development. The national Twelve‐Fiv e planning has also put forward the "accelerating the development of producer services" poli cy proposals. Using SBM super efficiency model for efficiency measurement of producer ser vices in Gansu province, redundant input‐output analyses of producer services, and dra w a great amount of capital investment in producer services redundant conclusion. Combin ed analysis on Malmquist productivity index model in Gansu province, towards total facto r productivity time series change of producer services, discusses the technical efficiency and t echnical progress to total factor productivity growth impetus derived TFP showed a decreasi ng trend of producer services, as well as conclusions of the technical efficiency is the mai n influencefactors of TFP. Then modelled on the decomposition method based on the Mal mquist index model, producer services to the Gansu decomposition of output per worke r made a quadruple, discussing the contribution of the efficiency of physical capital, hum an capital, technology, and technological progress to the growth of producer services in Gansu province. And we find that capital investment is the first driving force for develop ment of producer services, there is still tremendous employment of producer services. Fina lly, we calculate correlation degree on economic development of producer services and m anufacturing industry in Gansu province by input‐output tables. And we find that produ cer services in Gansu province were primarily dependent on manufacturing product deman d to pull, but at the same time its development has yet to boost manufacturing progress.
