When measuring the total factor productivity, the researcher ofen use the production function method of the econometric model, with Solow residual value being still the mainstream of research ideas. However,in the use of growth residual measure of total factor productivity, many scholars did not reach the agreement on the concept of TPF.As a result, its scope of the definition is not consistent, which lead to a random. In this paper, the input-output analysis method and the structural decomposition analysis are used to describe the evolution of the input-output efficiency in China before the reform and opening-up.The increase of the final output is decomposed into the impact of technological progress and the change of total input,in order to measure the contribution of technological progress before the reform and opening-up.In short, the change in the final output explained by the change in the direct consumption coefficient matrix A is seen as the contribution of total factor productivity(ie,generalized technological progress)to economic growth. As We know, the direct consumption coefficient(physical type)A and the corresponding Leontief matrix L ?(I A)-1,as the most basic concept of input-output,the former defines the consumption of substance in the economy for each unit of production of departments, and The latter defines the increase in the income resulting from the unit final output of each sector.A and L quantitatively reflect the relationship between input and output of sectors, and this relationship in all aspects of the factors actually imply the information about a country and its departments'economic structure and technology in a certain period of time. It's also most directly benefits from technological progress. That is to say,it is reasonable to express the technological progress with the change of the direct consumption coefficient A,or the change of the output under certain input.More microscopic, the change in the value of each column represents the evolution of the corresponding sector technology. In fact, with a broader perspective, the technology play a role in the production of all links, such as product development, energy or materials investment and Process flow, are ultimately. On the other hand, the changes in these links, basically will leave traces on the input-output relationship. We hope to produce a chronological table of the direct consumption coefficient A for the major years from 1957 to 1973,by collecting and recording China's the input-output data before, reform and opening-up,in order to study the input-output efficiency at that time. The input-output table is first a huge database, epithetizing a country's or regional economic system.,which can reflect the many complex economic relations, especially the relationship of material or value consumption and distribution between departments(or regions). This paper prepares to effectively use this data model to analyze the economic and technological situation of the country and departments during the period before reform and opening-up.In view of the official publication of the national input-output table beganning in 1987,to the needs of research and analysis,we collect and record the necessary data ourselves. The collection of data mainly involves two levels, national statistical data and the data of representative factories(According to the output for the weight). The former comes from the "Chinese Industrial Transport Energy 50-year statistical compilation",and the latter comes from various representative factories. This input-output table relates to 161 segments of the product category and 18 major categories(including agriculture, coal mining industry, chemical industry,etc.).We have selected one or two representative products in several of these categories:selecting the raw coal in"coal mining industry",selecting the power generation in "power gas production and supply industry," selecting the synthetic ammonia and calcium carbide in "Chemical industry",selecting the cement and the flat glass in "construction industry",selecting the beer and viscose fiber in "food textile paper furniture".For these selected representative products,we further selected their respective major consumables and Made a chronological chart from 1952 to 1973 to show their changes, which is useful for further analysis and evaluation. In addition, when we recorded the data,we considered the price index factor, for which we made a price index curve from 1952 to 1973.The data comes from the " 60-year statistical compilation of New China-the national price fixed index."...
