Research On Livelihood Vulnerability About Farmers In Zhejiang Province

Located in the southeast coast of China,the overall economic development level of Zhejiang province is enough high, but his regional differences are significant, especially somewhere in the central and southwest of the mountainous is relatively lag, there are worried about many farmers’ livelihood. Reducing the vulnerability of mountain farmers, improving the livelihood capital of farmers and realizing the sustainable development of livelihood, not only are conductive to their own social and economic sustainable development in mountainous area and be influence on the construction of "two rich" modernization in Zhejiang province,but also has important strategic significance on building a harmonious society.Based on the survey data in the four samples of the county(city) Zhejiang province,the papers statistically describe the overview of social and economic development on the survey farmers,the degree of affecting risk,ability of resilience and risk sensitivity at the same time.By the way, building farmers livelihood vulnerability evaluation index system,calculating the livelihood of farmers vulnerability value, and the comparatively analysis on the vulnerability of population and regional differences.The last,the papers are attend to empirically analysis of influence factors of farmers’ livelihood vulnerability, and put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.On the basis,draw the following results :(1) Description analysis about the degree of affecting risk found that the loss,which resulted from natural disasters of farmers is 12299.95 yuan, only 38 farmers suffered from market risks, farmers average economic costs from a serious illness is 28547.67 yuan, the average time cost is 202.76 days, which shows that farmers suffered from natural risk and the risk of a serious illness, especially the risk of a serious illness have a serious impact on the family; Although market risks of farmers is low, once suffered, damage is very serious. Described in the risk sensitivity analysis found that farmers is more sensitive to natural disasters and disease risk, whose risk sensitivity index is close to or more than 2.5, the rest of the index is lower than 2 and relatively less sensitive.(2) On the whole, the degree of affecting risk,ability of resilience and risk sensitivity and livelihood vulnerability value were respectively 0.153, 0.244, 0.206 and-0.013, shows that the ability of resilience is more than the degree of affecting risk about farmers.The comparison of livelihood vulnerability research shows that the livelihood vulnerability value of pure farmers,the mutiple occupations farmers and non-farm farmers respectively is-0.005,-0.007 and-0.012, showed that the livelihood vulnerability value of non-farm farmers and the mutiple occupations farmers are less than pure farmers.The livelihood vulnerability value of economy more developed regions and underdeveloped regions are respectively-0.011 and-0.008, showed that livelihood vulnerability value of the economy more developed regions is less than the economic less developed areas.The livelihood vulnerability value of core family, composite family and other family respectively are-0.019,-0.009 and 0.004, showed that the livelihood vulnerability value of nuclear family and composite family are less than other family,(3) The empirical results found that the age of householder,the numbers of non-farm payrolls,the planting area of crop and the area of virtual variables have a significant impact on the livelihood vulnerability of the farmers. Among them, at 5% significant level,the age of householder has a positive impact on it;the numbers of non-farm payrolls has a negative effect on it at the 1% significant level; the planting area of crop has a significant positive effect on it, reached 5% significant level.
