This paper combines the interdependence of international political economics theory with actual of Sino-U.S. trade relations, using two core concepts of interdependence sensitivity and fragility and international trade theory knowledge, as well as the related data in the field of trade of China and the United States in recent years to analyze Sino-U.S. trade relations asymmetry condition, the causes and effects, and put forward the countermeasures and suggestions in the side of our country.First, this paper expounds the concept and the basic content of interdepende-nce theory, as well as lists methods of measuring sensitivity and vulnerability in Sino-U.S. trade relations. Indexes to evaluate sensitivity include trade scale, tra-de dependency. Indexes to evaluate vulnerability include market alternative, trade structure and strategic product trade.Second, this paper respectively analyzes the current interdependence situation of Sino-U.S. trade in goods and in services. Through the analysis I found that China’s sensitivity to the Sino-U.S. cargo trade has been weakening, and the vul-nerability seems stable. In all Sino-U.S. trade in goods is still in a state of asy-mmetric interdependence. China has disadvantage in the Sino-U.S. trade in goods. On the whole Sino-U.S. trade asymmetric dependence in goods has a weak-ening trend, and America’s dependence on China’s trade is deepening. The causes of asymmetric interdependence situation includes the international division of la-bor status, industry transfer in East Asia, the United States economic developm-ent model, the RMB exchange rate, the United States export controls to China and so on. In terms of trade in services, China’s sensitivity and vulnerability to the Sino-U.S. service trade is significant. Sino-U.S. service trade is in a state of extremely asymmetric, and China has disadvantage in Sino-U.S. service trade. The causes of the asymmetric interdependence are relatively complex, includ-ing the service supply and demand ability, national income gap, the role of the United States multinational companies in trade of services, China’s service trade openness and other factors. In the end, this paper analyzes the influence of Sino-U.S. trade asymmetric interdependence on Sino-U.S. economic and trade. China’s trade surplus with America in goods would inevitably bring a lot of trade friction, but with great interdependence of the two countries, they will be rational processing friction, which could reduce the possibility of a trade war. As America’s growing depend-ence on China, China’s position in Sino-U.S. trade relations has been improved. At the same time the United States wants to maintain its dominant position, wh-ich will improve its protection of intellectual property rights and add pressure to the RMB appreciation. Under the background of asymmetric interdependence in Sino-U.S. trade and "new normal" stage, China should continue promoting the adjustment of industrial structure and attaching great importance to the service tr-ade competitiveness of ascension, improving the pattern of economic development and focusing on expanding domestic demand, speeding up the foreign trade dev-elopment mode transformation and implementing the strategy of diversifying exp-ort, strengthening the cooperation of the Sino-U.S. trade and forcing the linkage development of trade in service and goods. China should strive for more symm-etrical trade status.
