As a large state-owned monopoly energy company, power supply enterprise plays a significant role in the national economic development and social stability. And just with such monopoly characteristics, the electric power supply company has attracted the public’s high attention on the deepening reform. The Internet age has seen the rising trend of Internet public opinion. As a traditional business,the electric power supply company comes across the big risk and crises triggered by Internet public opinion. How to guide and react to the business crisis in the proper way, under the increasing Internet public opinion wave, is the big issue that the management researcher of the electric power supply company must face.This thesis explores the dealing and crisis management mode of public opinion based on the network monitoring of public opinion, and proposes a crisis management system for power enterprises facing Internet public opinion. Combining with the actual situation in the Fenghua electric power supply company, the paper elaborated the pre-crisis management, management in the event and management after event, the three stages in dealing with Internet public opinion.The paper discussed first of all the general concept of public opinion and its characteristics, followed with further discussion of the definition and characteristics of Internet public opinion. The mode in dealing with Internet public opinion which starts with collecting and analyzing information, and ends by the alert on Internet public opinion is also proposed. It aims to access to Internet public opinion barometer and other opinion monitoring and processing mechanism, through digging the public view under the opinion tree.Beginning with the definition and characteristics of crisis, the paper then discussed the incentive, classification and characteristics of the corporate crisis, and proceeded the study of the crisis’s classification and the current management situation in the electric power supply enterprise.Finally, combining the theory model of the public opinion management and crisis management with the corporate crisis caused by Internet public opinion, the paper elaborated deeply the model of the pre-crisis management, management in the event and management after event in applying crisis management 4R theory, based on the actual situation in Fenghua electric power supply company.
