Study On The Construction Model Of Urumqi Free Trade Zone

As an effective tool of enlarging its international trade and promoting local economy,free trade zones are playing more and more important role in international economy.However,several free trade zones that conform to the international practice are in their infancy.Therefore,China government begins to develop more free trade zones.As an important node of silk road economic belt,Urumqi has taken shape in export processing-distribution center and financial-trade zone.If establishing a free trade zone,it can not only enhance the economic strength of XinJiang,but also provide a demonstration effect for developing border port cities in China.From the perspective of cultivating free trade zone in Urumqi and promoting its healthy growth,this research explores the design of building pattern and the implementation of the path to put forward some opinions for the practice of free trade zone.Firstly,analyzes the feasibility and significance of building a free trade zone in Urumqi to lay a foundation for research on development model.Secondly,evaluates the influence degree of each foreign trade function on Urumqi export-oriented economy by means of the Grey Relation Entropy Analysis based on concluding the typical functions of free trade zones;Then combined with some successful practical experience and several basic principles,explores a feasible construction mode;Lastly,discusses sectorization and implementation steps,and finds several rational countermeasures.This paper concludes that Urumqi free trade zone should be constructed in a model of one area with many gardens in steps:firstly,build a basic framework of Urumqi free trade zone where export processing and logistics transit occupy the leading position;then put up financial cooperation and international trade city to finish the transition of Urumqi Free Trade Zone;when conditions are ripe,construct the free investment zone,ecological sightseeing zone and shopping mall,realizing the full extension of functions and the linkage development of multiple zones,and upgrade to a comprehensive free trade zone.
