| Sichuan HD Company is an automobile parts manufacturer who is facing the opportunities and challenges with the developing of Automobile industry in China. Previously it was an auto parts supplier for China Automobile Group Corporation, due to strategy changed, it moved to Sichuan Province. The management of Sichuan HD Company was frustrated with bad performance of on time delivery, efficiency and IT system etc. They expect to improve the performance and be more competitive through the supply chain management.This paper, with the supply chain management of HD Company as the research object, analyze the limitation of its current supply chain management, dig out the reasons, improve the supply chain management with SCOR model by designing the new supply chain procedures.Firstly we briefly introduce the automobile supply chain components, characters and current trends, HD company as a component its automobile supply chain has limitations like incorrect forecast, bad efficiency and late shipments. They also were suffering the bad performance from their materials suppliers. Then we found the reasons like procedures designed without considering supply chain, lack of channels to share the information in supply chain, and same evaluation standards to all materials suppliers etc. So the new supply chain procedure come out with the improvement of Customers requirements managements, suppliers’ relationship management and planning system based on supply chain. Finally we pointed out the conditions to realize the supplier chain improvement. |
