Modular design, production and consumption makes the different value chain of product produce across worldwide, and then plays a revolutionary force on the adjustment and upgrading of industries. Modular and value chain related researches which has drawn wide attention from the scholars both home and abroad. continued to deepen with the deepening of economic globalization and regional economic ties, became the leading subject in the last 20 years. New economic geography focused on spatial characteristics of the modular value chain, such as the optimal location selection, spatial agglomeration, the drive mechanism; In recent years, with the gradual warming of cross-strait relations and the promoting of economic cooperation and exchange, electronic information industry has growing rapidly and became the main part in cross-strait trade. It becomes an important issue that how to deepen the division of labor and cooperation between the mainland in industrial transition and Taiwan, which needs urgently for new markets and investment environment. Therefore, expanding its research is necessary and has strong theoretical and practical significance.According to the value curve and the producing process, the electronic information industry is divided into four modules, the Parts Manufacturing (PM) module, the Key Parts Manufacturing (KPM) module, the Complete Vehicle Manufacturing (CVM) module, the Design and Marketing (DM) module. Then using spatial analysis, niche width and Grey Relational Analysis, analyzes its spatiotemporal evolution and drive mechanism. The research reveals that: ①There has been an obvious temporal change of technology and value, especially in 1998 and 2006;①PM module and CVM module are more decentralized, the four modules combined in local or by neighboring regions; ③Concentration and diffusion is coexisting, while they spread from south to north or from east to west, they form five gathering areas, the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits, the Bohai Sea, West Triangle;④ The degree of four regional division of labor were relatively low although the regional division was somehow increasing. The spatial distribution of CVM module and DM module were agglomerated. However, KPM module especially PM module were scattered. ⑤Drivers is different at different stages in different economic zones, they draw up targeted industrial cooperation base on their comparative advantage. ⑥Graphical extension and levels of the value chain can promote the degree of four regional division of labor of Taiwan-funded electronic information industry in the mainland.
