Study On The Influence Factors Of Smes’ Independent Innovation Ability

In 2006, China firstly proposed the development strategy of building innovation oriented country, and in the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC in 2012, the innovation driven strategy was clearly proposed. Enterprise is the main body to carry out innovation driven strategy, especially our SMES is an important force and main source for technological innovation, and studying factors affecting the ability of independent innovation of SMES will help to take more effective measures to promote enterprise independent innovation ability. Therefore, it has important significance of choosing this topic to improve implementation effect on innovation driven strategy and enhance the capability of independent innovation of small and medium sized enterprises.This paper firstly reviews the domestic and foreign scholars research on independent innovation, and on the basis of the study, we discuss the internal and external factors affecting the ability of independent innovation of SMES, namely the six elements of entrepreneurship, enterprise resource, enterprise management capabilities, enterprise culture, government policy, industry university research cooperation; and then we use the method of comparative analysis, selecting five provinces, achieving scientific input and output data through the statistical yearbook on science and technology, and enhance the knowledge of Jiangsu innovation capability; then we use the method of empirical analysis to verify the six elements, and the results show that all factors have important effects on the ability of independent innovation of SMES; finally, according to the empirical part of the results, we put forward some suggestions to improve the independent innovation ability of enterprises in Jiangsu.
