Portfolio projects risk management is a very important part of portfolio management, is also the key to the success of a portfolio. It is becoming a focus point and subject of study to portfolio stakeholders on how to identify, analysis, monitor risks, how to make mitigation plan, how to increase opportunities and reduce threats to portfolio targets.CJ Incorporated, as the biggest American company, succeeded in reaching its leading position by its comprehensive risk management skill. Through over 140 years development, CJ has had its risk management capability as its core competitiveness. A mature set of risk management system had been established over the years.This paper summarized the method CJ company used in its risk analysis, evaluation, monitor and mitigation plan creation, through the analysis of international study status of risk management, the use of performance management theory, organization structuring theory and the current portfolio management, portfolio risk management system applied in CJ company. It introduced what CJ company has been doing to strengthen its risk management skill in term of procedure and structure deployment.This paper is a basic study on portfolio risk management. It is a research on the practical model CJ company is using. But it is content is applicable to all and its results are good reference and practical tools to be considered by different organizations. |
