Research On Effects Of Logistics Industry Agglomeration On The Productivity Of Manufacturing Industry In Shandong Province

Since the reform and opening up. With the rapid development of economy of our country, industry especially the manufacturing industry has been rapid development. But the development of high input and low output model of China’s manufacturing industry has hindered the efficient development of the manufacturing industry.Therefore, changing the mode of production and improving production efficiency has become a major problem that the development of China’s manufacturing industry facing.The productive service industry as a senior production element affects the core competitiveness of manufacturing industry, it plays an important role in enhancing the production efficiency of manufacturing industry. As a kind of typical composite type of producer service industry, Modern logistics industry has important effect on the manufacturing investment size and the quality level, it plays an important role in enhancing the production efficiency of manufacturing industry. The logistics industry agglomeration as a sign of the development of the logistics industry to a certain extent, it is beneficial to improve the efficiency of the logistics industry and have an important influence on the development of manufacturing industry. It can promote the development of the manufacturing industry and improve the production efficiency of manufacturing industry.As a traditional manufacturing industry in China, the added value of manufacturing industry of Shandong Province ranks the first of China for many years, the development of the manufacturing industry occupies a very important position in our country. And the logistics industry of Shandong Province has starting early and developing fast in China. The development of logistics industry specialization level is higher and the phenomenon of logistics industrial agglomeration is more obvious. Therefore, this paper selects Shandong Province as the research object, research the effects of logistics industry agglomeration on the productivity of manufacturing industry of Shandong Province.Firstly,this paper summaries the related literature at home and abroad and analyses the related concept of logistics industry, logistics industry agglomeration and agglomeration effect and the related theory of the effects of the development of logistics industry on the productivity of manufacturing industry. Secondly, this paper starts from the current situation of the development of economy of Shandong Province, using the related data analyses the general development situation of logistics industry and manufacturing industry of Shandong Province, and summarizes the main problems existing in the development of the logistics industry and the manufacturing industry of Shandong province.Then,this paper calculates the agglomeration level of the logistics industry and the transportation industry of Shandong province by location quotient method, and calculates the labor productivity of manufacturing industry and various industry segments of Shandong province.Then, this paper uses the panel data of 28 industry segments of manufacturing industry of Shandong province,constructing econometric model to analyses the effects of the logistics industry agglomeration on the productivity of manufacturing industry of Shandong province from the industry segments of manufacturing industries. According to the result of the empirical analysis,we can find:as the whole of logistics industry,the agglomeration level of logistics industry of Shandong Province has negative influence on the labor productivity of manufacturing industry.However, as the transportation industry,the agglomeration level of railway transportation industry, the highway transportation industry and waterway transportation industry of the logistics industry in Shandong Province has significant positive influence on the labor productivity of manufacturing industry, the promotion effect from large to small is highway transportation, railway transportation and waterway transportation industry.Finally, according to the results of empirical analysis and combining with the development status of logistics industry and manufacturing industry of Shandong Province,this paper puts forward some policy recommendations.
