| Manufacturing industry is an important part of the national economy.From 1978 to 2016,the added value of manufacturing industry grew by an average of 10.9% per year,exceeding the growth rate of GDP.Manufacturing industry has become the main driving force for China's economic growth.However,compared with the advanced manufacturing industries in developed countries,China's manufacturing industry is still large but not strong,and there are problems such as low independent innovation capability,low resource utilization efficiency,unreasonable industrial structure,low degree of informationization and poor quality and efficiency.Transformation and upgrading is a realistic problem that China's manufacturing industry cannot avoid.Only through transformation and upgrading can we completely solve various contradictions,difficulties and problems in China's manufacturing industry.The improvement of TFP is a key goal of the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.This requires not only the manufacturing industry to enhance its independent research and development and innovation capabilities,but also the synergy with its related industries.In recent years,the state has paid more and more attention to promoting the joint development of manufacturing and logistics,and implementing the “two-wheel drive”strategy of logistics and manufacturing.The logistics industry provides intermediate inputsIV and services for the manufacturing industry.Its influence on the manufacturing industry hasevolved with the rapid advancement of industrialization and urbanization.It has gone through“management function” to “promotion function” and now “strategic function”.Therefore,manufacturing industry can not be separated from the development of the logistics industry to achieve a qualitative change.With the development of the economy,driven by location advantages and economies of scale,more and more logistics companies and manufacturing companies have gathered together on a large scale,forming a space of "you have me,I have you" pattern.This paper theoretically analyzes the impact of the synergy between logisticas industry and manufacturing industry on manufacturing TFP,and empirically analyzes 284prefecture-level cities in China.The main contents and conclusions of the study are as follows:In the theoretical part,first of all,this paper analyzes the effect of collaborative agglomeration of logistics industry and manufacturing industry on TFP of manufacturing industry,which are: knowledge spillover effect,competition effect,labor market sharing,input-output market sharing,economies of scale effect and cyclic accumulation effect.Then,from the effect of the synergy between logistics industry and manufacturing industry,the paper analyzes the impact of logistics industry and manufacturing synergy on TFP of manufacturing industry,which is summarized as three aspects: promote technological progress,improve technical efficiency and scale efficiency.Empirical research section.Through the construction of dynamic panel model,the system GMM analysis method is used to empirically test the impact of China's logistics industry and manufacturing synergy on manufacturing TFP.The research found that:(1)From a national perspective,the synergy between the logistics industry and the manufacturing industry has a significant role in promoting the TFP of the manufacturing industry,and the driving force is mainly from the technological progress of the manufacturing industry generated by the synergy between the logistics industry and the manufacturing industry.The negative effect of pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency has weakened the technological progress of manufacturing caused by the synergy of logistics industry andmanufacturing industry.(2)From a regional perspective,the synergy between the logistics industry and the manufacturing industry has a positive impact on the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry in the eastern region.The driving force is mainly from the technological progress of the manufacturing industry;the logistics industry and the manufacturing industry are synergistically concentrated on the manufacturing industry in the central region.TFP has a positive effect,and the driving force mainly comes from manufacturing technology advancement and scale efficiency;while the synergy between logistics industry and manufacturing industry has not had a significant impact on the TFP of manufacturing in the western region.Finally,based on the above analysis,the research conclusions and policy recommendations are put forward. |
