Research On Development Of Chinese Family Farm

The exploration of Family farm development method is vital for China to complete agricultural modernization, solve food security and supply issues. Nowadays, the agricultural production method in many areas of China is relatively backward, mainly based on traditional farming method, Large agricultural machinery, agricultural technology is not yet widespread used, the process of agricultural modernization is slow, the detail performance is extensive development of agriculture, low commercialization rate and low income of farmers. Household contract responsibility system used to play a huge role in promoting development of agricultural, but with the development of productive forces, the system gradually exposed many issues:land fragmentation, strong farmerist, low agricultural income, etc. CPC eighteen stressed the need to achieve the simultaneous development of industrialization, urbanization, information technology, agricultural modernization, choose the road of agricultural modernization. Four Modernization synchronization requires improving the existing system of agricultural land, achieving,a moderate scale. Central No.1 Document in 2013 clearly encourages and supports contract land transfer professional large farmers, family farms, and farmers’ cooperatives, encourage the development of various forms of moderate scale. Since then the relevant legal documents have provided a good policy environment for rural land moderate scale operation, development of family farms will be gradually accelerated.Family farm is new in China, related study is not yet ripe. Based on the definition of family farm, the paper makes use of the theories of farmland moderate scale operation, business ownership and induced institutional change, do comparative analysis of three models, family farms, farm workers, traditional farmers, to demonstrate the superiority and the inevitable trend of the family farm system, and analyzes the status of Chinese development of family farms, summed up the development method in the Songjiang District and Ningbo City, then learn the successful experience from the United States, Germany, Japan, finally come up with four core suggestions, legislation, guidance, service, training, to promote the development of family farm in China.
