The Research On Five Central Middle Asian Countries Direct Investment Selection On Location And Industry Of China

In recent years, with the escalation of China’s economic reform, Chinese enterprises speed up the pace of “going out”. In 2013, Chinese President Xi proposed the idea of building the Silk Road Economic Zone provide an unprecedented opportunity to Chinese enterprises "going out". Five Central Asian Countries located in the center of Eurasia, next to Northwest China, and since ancient times it is the central area of the Silk Road. Great location combines the advantages of Five Central Asian Countries’ rich resources, huge market potential and wide range of areas of cooperation, the Five Central Asian Countries is becoming the "core area" of Chinese enterprises intend to invest in the Silk Road Economic Zone. Location and Industry of Oversea Foreign Direct Investment(OFDI) is directly related to the success and the level of efficiency of investment, this paper studies Location and Industry Choice of China direct investment in the Five Central Asia Countries aims for giving scientific guidance to Chinese enterprises that invest in the Five Central Asian Countries, and it has important theoretical and practical significance for Chinese enterprises "going out" and Silk Road Economic Zone construction.In this paper, the Five Central Asian Countries is the research object, the location choice and the industry choice of OFDI is the main line, quantitative and qualitative analysis method combined is the research method. Firstly, In order to providing theoretical support for this study, this paper start with the theoretical basis of foreign direct investment, summarized the development of OFDI in location and industry choice. Secondly, Summary of the status of China’s direct investment in the Five Central Asian Countries, including the investment status of location distribution and industrial distribution, analyze the current characteristics and problems of Chinese direct investment in the Five Central Asian Countries. Again, this paper focus on the empirical research on location and industry selection for Chinese direct investment in the Five Central Asian Countries. In location choice research, we use generalized least squares analysis to find the key factors of location selection; In industry selection research, we use marginal industry benchmark, comparative advantage industry benchmark and high degree homogeneity of industrial structure benchmark determined investment industry that Chinese enterprises should invest. On this basis, at last combined with the economic base and future development plans of Five Central Asian Countries, this paper proposed location and industry select suggestion that the Chinese direct investment in the Five Central Asian Countries.
