Logistics and transportation scheduling plays an important role in the whole supply chain management. Strategy of milk run model can not only reduce transportation costs, but also to coordinate the production and transportation of the two programs, reduce inventory space, further decreasing storage costs. When using milk run mode, the need for further optimization of the vehicle routing arrangements, but previous VRP rarely consider the arrangement of production goods and the limitation of temporary stacking space. This article will examine the business request when using milk run strategy, considering the different goods production speeds and finished goods stacking space constraints in each pickup point, how to arrange collection vehicle routing problem. This study proposes a corresponding model will simplify the vehicle routing problem, limited by the time the product stack time window, making the product will not pick up point and break through the restrictions due to piling up too much storage space, at the same time, optimizing pick routing, which ensures products to be stacked within the time range, before transported away by milk run vehicles. Then, based on particle swarm optimization, we proposed solution to solve this problem. Finally, we do a case study to company S. The result of study shows that the model and algorithm effectiveness and practicality of the proposed management model under milk run routing optimization, not only to make every aspect of the supply chain are benefit from it, full use of logistics resources, improve efficiency, save time, and making the logistics cost is greatly reduced. This management model has reference to other distributed manufacturing enterprises.
