With the phenomenon of anti-dumping measures in the United States frequently to China, this paper using descriptive statistics and comparative analysis to study the trade data and the anti-dumping data from 1992 to 2012 for processing research with econometric tools. Combined with theoretical research of the relevant anti-dumping and trade effects, the article discusses in depth the US against China Effect of anti-dumping process. The paper mainly focused on the effects of trade restrictions and trade diversion.Firstly, article analyzed with the data from Global antidumping Database, the United Nations International Trade Database(UNCOMTRADE), EPS database, the national statistical database. Paper compares and analyzes the status and features of the US anti-dumping, and makes a comprehensive summary of characteristics of foreign anti-dumping and the United States anti-dumping on Chinese trade.Secondly, using of classification and excluding the element method results in the major impact on trade of anti-dumping according to the trade practice factors. The amount of change in US imports from China to measure the trade restrictions effect, the US imports from China accounted for the proportion of total imports from the world to measure the trade diversion effect. Then regression model to analyze the impact of each element in the anti-dumping investigation, the preliminary stage, the final ruling on the trade. This paper introduces revealed comparative advantage(RCA) index as the secondary factors, discussed the decisive role in the industry’s revealed comparative advantage for the United States to implement anti-dumping.Finally, based on a comprehensive analysis of the theory and data, draw the conclusions on the United States anti-dumping trade effects, propose countermeasures to help improve China’s trade structure and trade environment.
