Implementation Of Postponed Manufacturing At The Domestic Appliance Industry

With the continuous progress of science and technology, the deepening of economic globalization and the rapid development of logistics industry, customer demand has been showing the trend of diversity in a huge amount. Postponement strategy is an important means to respond to the trend, but the application of the strategy also makes supply chain network more complex and thus makes the network optimization more difficult. Mass Customization(MC) created an new mode for the manufacturing. It provides high quality and attractive personalized production to the customer with high efficiency and low cost. Postponement manufacturing strategy as the implementation model for the MC, it effect the entire supply chain, is the core strategy of the MC process. This paper first analyzed the pattern of manifestation and implementation conditions under the supply chain management, figure out the necessity which the occupied company should prepare and improve. After that it analyzed a domestic appliances manufacturer which located in Zhejiang Province by case analysis, pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of the Chinese Domestic Appliances Manufacturing Industry during the process of implementation of the postponement strategy. Currently there is excess production capacity of the Chinese Domestic Appliances Manufacturing Industry generally. High inventory level and low capital utilized rate are very comment. This paper analyzes started from the reality,combining the scientific natures than to give some solutions to the Chinese Domestic Appliances Manufacturing Industry generally.
