The total value of China’s import and export commodities in 2014 was26.43 trillion yuan, accounting for 12.2% of world trade, andthe sector exported products valued at14.39 trillion yuan, which makes China the largest trading country in the world. However, the world’s economy is still in the recovery period after the economic crisis, with inadequate demand, low trade growth and continuously fallingcommodity prices. The weak internal and external marketslead to increased exports, further exacerbating the market competition worldwide. The change of foreign trade conditions objectivelypromotes the transform and upgrade of China’s foreign trade. Considering the new characteristics of foreign trade development, it is imperative to positively transform the mode of foreign trade development, thereby completing the shift from "big trading nation" to "major trading power". Hence, to study the mode of China’s foreign trade transformation and find the path of foreign trade development suitable for China are of important practical significance.According to the current status of China’s foreign trade and the urgency of foreign trade transform, this article elaborated the necessity of the transformation of China’s foreign trade. And, taking three countries’ foreign trade transformation(India, Japan, South Korea) for example, we analyzedthe background, characteristics and results of their foreign tradetransformations to provide reference for China’s foreign trade transformation, then we investigated the way of China’s foreign trade transformation from three perspectives(industry,business and enterprises):On the one hand, based on the data of 1991-2013, we studied the relationship betweenforeign trade development, economic growth and the labor-intensive industrial structure adjustmentby multiple linear regression method, then we briefly analyzed the feasibility of transition from labor-intensive industry to high-end industry; on the other hand, for manufacturing industry,agriculture and modern service industry,we put forward some problem-solving measures; Moreover, on the basis of related trade theory, we discussedthe three strategies to enhance micro-enterprise international competitiveness andpromote themicro-enterprise transformation--product differentiation, product innovation and the development of national independent brands. All in all, in order to better promote the steady growth of foreign trade and the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade, we should speed up the transformation of trade mode, attach great importance to the development of science and technology, enhance the competitiveness of national independent brands, promote the upgrades of labor-intensive industry, activate the micro-enterprises and improve the international competitiveness of products.
