As the competition of organization is increasing intensely, the enterprise’s development requires employees to drive innovation spirit and innovation behavior. How to improve the staff’s innovation behavior have become the common topics of scholars and managers. This research mainly focuses on discussing how the individual differences affect innovation behaviors, including personal personality characteristics about proactive personality and cultural values about employee power distance orientation, and the cultural factors of power distance orientation is less discussed in the past research. Therefore, based on the research gap in the past literature, this research builds a theoretical research model by using literature analysis, questionnaire investigation and regression analysis methods to test the theory of hypothesis, explores how proactive personality and power distance orientation affect the employee innovative behavior,and how Leader-member exchange relationship mediates the process of above relations.This research draws several main conclusions as follows: 1)the positive prediction of proactive personality on employee innovative behaviors, 2)the negative prediction of power distance orientation of employees on employee innovative behaviors, 3)Leader- member exchange relationship partially mediates the relation between proactive personality and employee innovative behaviors,4)Leader- member exchange relationship partially mediates the relation between power distance orientation and employee innovative behaviors.The innovation of this research lies on the further study of the mechanism of proactive personality, power distance orientation and employee innovative behaviors, enriches the theory of innovation behavior to improve our enterprises’ innovation behavior in order to provide effective strategies and methods.
