Reform Practice Of Agricultural Technology Extension System In Xuancheng City Of Anhui Province

After entering the 21st century, along with the development of the socialism market economy, the agriculture in China is being transformed from the traditional agriculture to a modern one, which raised a much higher requirement to China agricultural technology extension system at grassroots level. But the existing agricultural technology extension system has been unable to meet the new situation. Xuancheng City, as a big agricultural city in Anhui Province, has experienced the reform of agricultural technology extension system many times. However, agricultural extension work has not got strengthened. Therefore, it has already been inevitable for the system reform.In this paper, we reviewed the developmental process of agricultural technology extension system in our country, analyzed the experiences of America and Japan, studied the agricultural technology extension system of Xuancheng City of Anhui province, and illustrated the current situation and main problems of agricultural extension system of Xuancheng city based on documental inductive, comprehensive investigation and case study. In addition we put forward some suggestions for reforming and improving Xuancheng agricultural technology extension system. These suggestions are as follows:to establish professional regional center administrative department, to innovate administrative system, to enlarge financial investment, to enhance the quality of agricultural extension team, to build social service system, to offer multiple service. Also we should pursue the accessing system of technicians and perfect the cooperation mechanism with agricultural research and education units.
