Research On The Impacts Of FDI On Import And Export Trade In Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area

The import and export trade has developed rapidly and reached more than 6000 billion, accounting for nearly 15% of the total volume of import and export trade in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area, and its foreign direct investment reached more than $34 billion, an average increase of Higher about 4.3 percentage points than our whole country. Import and export trade and foreign direct investment as an important carrier of the transfer of commodities and elements, can enhance the regional economic development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area through many ways. Increasing the import of the factors of production and the factor supply of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area, export trade expansion can drive investment and ease the employment pressure, can also promote the formation of scale economy in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area, to enhance the industrial competitiveness. The paper has researched the foreign direct investment and import and export trade development present situation of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area, to find out the existing problems, and through empirical study to find out the foreign direct investment impact on the import and export trade to provide countermeasures and suggestions.This paper mainly studies the effect of FDI on the import and export trade in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area. The fourth part respectively researching the impacts of foreign direct investment on import and export trade volume, export trade and import trade, the study found foreign direct investment has a negative impact on the foreign trade in the short-term, has a positive impact in the middle, and no stable co-integrating relationships on the long-term. The fifth part put forward how to make use of import and export trade effect caused by foreign direct investment to promote the economic development:to attach importance to the technology to create a new environment of creating, to attract with the core technology of foreign-funded enterprises; speeding up the development of the financial services industry, to reduce cost of foreign direct investment and foreign trade; to guide foreign direct investment in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area internal flow direction in industries; making utilization of foreign direct investments’ effects on trade of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area to promote its economic development.Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area should continue to increase the intensity of opening up, to promote economic development and integration process in the region through trade effect caused by foreign direct investment.
