Research On Post-investment Activities Of Private Equity Investment

Private equity investment has become a very important economic activities in China. Because the private equity investment industry develops far latter then European and American countries, there are many problems in this industry. The private equity investment institutions in China do not pay enough attention to post-investment activities while attach much more value to investment activities. Meanwhile, research on post-investment activities of private equity investment is limited and there is not enough research in post-investment activities area of private equity investment industry.This thesis make research on post-investment activities in PE industry based on previous studies. Post-investment activities includes two basic contents, risk controlling and value added service. This thesis research on post-investment activities operation model, relationship between engagement and performance through 8 listed or to be listed companies on National Equities Exchanges and Quotations(NEEQ System). Meanwhile, the writer make case study on two projects invested by RL private equity investment institution which she serves. Analysis result shows that: 1) PE institutions who manage heavy capital and large number projects adopt a specialized position model for post-investment activities; 2) PE institution who make enough efforts on post-investment activities achieves better performance in investment return; 3) Focusing on one or several specific industries make postinvestment activities more efficient.
