Studies On Improving The Agricultural Science And Technology Service System Based On The Demands Of Farmers

Agricultural science and technology service system is an important carrier to promote agricultural modernization. As farmers are the final adopters of agricultural science and technology fruits, agricultural science and technology service system must satisfy the demands of them in order to truly play its role. Along with the transformation of agriculture from planned to market economy, from being traditional to modern, the science and technology demands of farmers have great changes, showing the characteristics of individuality and diversity. Although there are some developments of multi-component service system, it is still at the exploratory stage.Therefore, it is very urgent to improve agricultural science and technology service system based on the demands of farmers.Based on relevant theories and concepts, this paper briefly describes the basic situation of agricultural science and technology service system of Yuyao city,analyzes current situation and problems of demands of farmers in Yuyao city for the agricultural science and technology service,analyzes factors affecting the demands of farmers in Yuyao city for agricultural science and technology service, and based on experience of foreign countries,proposes suggestions of improving the agricultural science and technology service system of Yuyao city.This paper mainly includes the following aspects.Firstly,basic situation of agricultural science and technology service system of Yuyao city. The agricultural science and technology service system of Yuyao city includes primary-level agricultural science and technology extension agencies and non-govenmental agricultural science and technology service organization;Secondly,current situation and problems of demands of farmers in Yuyao city for the agricultural science and technology service. Use questionnaires and field interviews to study the demands of farmers,describe the status,and reveal the existing problems;Thirdly,analysis of factors affecting the demands of farmers in Yuyao city for agricultural science and technology service. The analysis in c l u d e s th r e e fa c t o r s, t h e fa r m e r s th e m s e l v e s, th e go v e r n m e n t a l se r v i c e provider, and the non-governmental service provider;Fourthly,learn the experience of construction of agricultural science and technology service system from the United States, Japan,and Denmark,and get some revelation;Fifthly,put forward ideas and strategies to improve agricultural science and technology service system of Yuyao city,including the principle, the basicframework and suggestions.
