With four characteristics which are fast growth, reproductive capacity, easy cultivation, and high yield, Tilapia is becoming an important kind of freshwater farmed fish in the world. Tilapia is acclaimed as one of animals which contained high protein. For a long period of time, China ranks first among the countries which export tilapia, while the export prices are very low. Because of the increasing cost of aquaculture and the devaluation of the Chinese Dollar, the tilapia culturists’ income is getting lower and lower. As a result, tilapia industry encountered a Development Bottlenecks. Since the aquacultural behavior of the culturists have a huge influence on the supply of the entire industry and its sustainable development, how to improve the level of culturists’ quacultural techniques has an irreplaceable role in improving the competitiveness of China’s tilapia industry.In the backgrounds described above, based on the research achievements of scholars around the world, this paper set the tilapia culturists in Guangdong Province as the research object, firstly estimates the technical efficiency of tilapia farmers in Guangdong Province, secondly Analyze the overall efficiency of fish Aquaculture, technical efficiency and scale efficiency by using the DEA model, based on this model, thirdly use the Tobit regression to analyze the factors influencing the efficiency of tilapia aquaculture. The Analysis is as follows:firstly, though the three-dimensional aquacultural model is prevalence in Guangdong Province, the management for culturists is unscientific, which polluted the pond water environment, and destroy the local ecological balance. Secondly, tilapia aquacultre in Guangdong Province is under the period of increasing returns to scale, in the case of controlled breeding area of less than 100 acres, the larger the aquacultral scale is the more favorable the technology efficiency will be. Thirdly, the lowness of Tilapia aquacultural efficiency and a serious investment in redundant during the tilapia aquacultral process is mainly because the Tilapia technical efficiency is low. Fourthly, Tilapia’ aquacultural age, culturists’ education level, the number of village cadres in family, the number of the member in cooperatives, the risk perception situation of the leader in family, the number of ponds, the pond water depth, and the financial support have a significant impact on the technology efficiency.Based on empirical research in Guangdong Province, This paper gives some practical suggestions, which including:promote the prosperity of process to promote aquaculture industry development, improve the level of organization of the culturists, the government should increased the subsidies and reduce the difficulty of funding loan application, expand the amount of funding requests, strengthen the environmental protection and encourage environment-friendly aquacultural behavior.
