Nowadays, the development of science and technology improves the productivity and the demand of personalized product is becoming popular. In the field of cabinets, modular production has become a trend; customer is not only concerned with the basic function, but also emphasizing on personality, flexibility, service. On one hand, to win more order and customers, manufacturer offers shorter lead time, but the demand trend is low volume with high matrix; on the other hand, those enterprises who are built for mass production and scale economic are suffering from small batch, shorter lead time order because the non standard and customized product means the enterprises must pay high design cost, purchase cost, plan cost and manufacturing cost. Look from the surface, enterprises have gotten the order, but the operating costs and the opportunity cost are increasing. In the long run, the development of enterprises will be confined. To solve the conflict, the traditional research methods are mainly focusing on productivity improvement, they try to transform and optimize the production line by using of relevant supporting system, better plan, saving manpower, reduce costs, decrease inventory, shorten the production cycle time, they hope to win the customers and market through self reform. These methods are very good, but request good skilled people and large investment. Generally speaking, Japan and Taiwan companies are very good at these areas. The purpose of this thesis is to solve the contradiction between non standard/small batch production and scale economy through separation of manufacturing and sales, to make company toward specialization, sustainable development. From the current situation,4S shop mode in the car industry is very successful; but whether we can use this model in the cabinet industry, and whether this model can copy to other industries? What is the key success factor and how to avoid the risk, which will be discussed in my thesis.
