Study On The Efficiency Of The Financial Support For The New-Type Urbanization

The new-type urbanization requires the way of new industrialization, informatization, urbanization, agricultural modernization with Chinese characteristics. Promoting new-type urbanization is an important strategy of expanding domestic demand and driving economic growth. New-type urbanization process can’t be done without the financial support. The new characteristics of new-type urbanization construction put forward some new needs and requirements for financial support. How to make the finance to adapt to the development of new urbanization has become an important subject in economics.Some financial varieties, including the number of financial institutions, financial support for agriculture, the total amount of deposits and loans were used to measure the status of financial support for China’s urbanization process. This paper uses the stochastic frontier analysis method (SFA) to compare the preface macro-economic data of various provinces in China during the years 2003-2012for dynamic calculation. This paper selects the financial industry added value, financial support for agriculture, the first industrial added value, the total import and export volume as input indicators, rural household’s per capita annual net income as output indicators. This paper uses Frontier4.1 as the analysis tool.The empirical results show that the level of financial development and financial support of urbanization efficiency are increasing year by year during the whole of China’s urbanization process. The efficiency of the financial support of rural urbanization is not completely effective, and the support is differences in various regions. The eastern, central, and western areas appear to decline of the situation, the unbalanced development is inseparable with the geographical position, natural conditions, but also related to the area financial development degree, degree of opening to the outside world. The empirical analysis shows that financial industry added value and supporting agriculture in finance has a positive effect on the efficiency of financial support, to improve the two variables input can improve the rural residents’living level. The first industrial added value and the total amount of import and export have not obvious positive impact on rural residents living level, or even produce some negative impact. This is related to the degree of rural economy and our country economic structure.The thesis summarizes the research conclusion and points out the deficiencies and future research directions, and puts forward relevant policy suggestions for financial support to the process of new-type urbanization.
