The Research On Transformation Path Of Anhui Coal Industry

Since twenty-first Century, the Anhui coal industry entered a period of rapid development, which has injected vitality to the regional economic growth. However, there has been some problems in the process of the coal industry development, such as industry internal structure is unreasonable, lack of technological innovation, the coal industry chain is too short and serious environmental pollution and so on. All these problems seriously restrict the development of coal industry. In fact, Anhui coal industry has begun to transform at the end of the 20th century. In these ten years, how does the industry transform? What are the factors affecting transformation? What is the important point and development path in the next round of transformation? The author will conduct a research with these problems in this paper. It has important practical significance for the promotion of Anhui coal industry and regional economic growth.Based on the industrial structure theory, scale economy theory, the circular economy theory and the sustainable development theory, combined with the current situation of development of coal industry in Anhui, The author builds the Anhui coal comprehensive evaluation index system. The index system includes three aspects: economic, ecological and social indicators. Then the author uses entropy method to determine the weight of each index and calculate the final index score, which can be known the transformation effect. In addition, the author selects four variables: economic development level, technical progress, optimization of the industrial structure and the level of safety in production and use multiple regression model to analyze the mutual relationship between the four variables and industry transformation. Finally the author provides some path optimization countermeasures for the development of Anhui coal industry which is aimed to realize its sustainable development.The author has the following conclusions based on the above analysis:(1) Anhui coal industry showed a rising trend in the overall transformation effect between 2002 and 2013, which means that certain achievement has been made in the transformation of development. The most obvious effect of the transformation is economic indicators, and the development trend of ecological index and social index is relatively slow which is obviously lagged behind the economic indicators. (2) Economic development level, technical progress, optimization of the industrial structure and the level of safety in production have big positive influence on industry transformation.(3) The influence of the level of economic development on transformation is the largest, optimization of the industrial structure ranks second, technical progress ranks third and the level of safety in production ranks fourth.Based on the existing transition path of Anhui coal industry, it can follow four measures in the future transformation. First, develop regional economy and boost industrial restructuring; Second, strengthen the integration of the resources and extend industrial chain; Third, increase investment in technological innovation and promote technological progress; Fourth, improve the level of production management and be sure of production safety.
