The main reasons for the failure of the report are non-standard of the design, the not suitable technical methods used, inadequate investment of field and indoor comprehensive research work, lack of project management and other reasons. Although the project has been through the geological survey project design review, field inspection and acceptance, company first instance, as well as the final assessment and other aspects of the review, however, the geological prospecting companies only pay attention to the format of the report, and do not pay attention to the design of the report or review of the revised review, these factors are the important reasons for the failure of the report or the poor quality of the report.Shandong province is not only rich in resources and energy reserves, but also has significant geological exploration results. But some geological exploration results also have some quality problems in different degree. Therefore, based on the further completion research of the geological projects in recent years, the geological prospecting work management system should be further improved. We should carry out a full range of quality control from the project, design, field construction, Data collection, summary of results of geological survey project. At the same time the evaluation of expert database, project design, field results and final results of the inspection and assessment of the work should be improved. To encourage scientific and technological personnel, we need to establish a scientific and technological innovation and personnel training incentive mechanism. We should carry out publicity and education to further enhance the sense of responsibility and sense of honor of the geological workers. It will provide a favorable environment for the development of geological prospecting companies and young geological researchers.
