Since 1886 German Benz invented the first cars powered by gasoline, car manufacturing industry has been developing for more than 100 years. In this period car manufacturing experience manual production from the end of the 19 th century and ford’s mass production, then develop into Toyota’s lean production mode. With the unceasing change of market demand, the production organization form of car manufacturing and logistics mode are in constant change in the direction of the lean and flexible. Toyota first came out with the idea of lean production, through various change of product development, logistics supply, production organization and so on,enhance flexibility of enterprise reflect to the market, greatly reduces the waste caused by mass production mode and avoid the lack varieties of automobile production. Volkswagen pursues the leading position of product quality, technological innovation, customer orientation and product sustainability. And always improve various factors in these aspects. All of these mean that it’s important to have advanced production organization pattern and management technology to ensure the high quality of products and stable capacity. Introduced Toyota TPS in production, make Volkswagen implement the diversified production lines, and also have personalized customization of the phaeton, A8 high-end brands. It improves the flexibility of production organization and ensures high quality product. At the same time, it reduces the waste in the process of production, and greatly enhances the competitiveness of the enterprise’s products.FAW-Volkswagen 1991 began to product. At the beginning of the production the main production is JETTA. Because of single product variety, FAW-VW still uses the pattern of mass production. With the market expanding and more brands produced, Volkswagen was in short supply in the Chinese market. To maximize use of production capacity, before 2011, FAW-Volkswagen automotive manufacturingwas also a vulgar way of the lean production organization. The production organization mode can release maximum of production capacity, and ensure the completion of production targets, but it ignored precise control of the types and order in production. Along with more and more establishment of the joint venture, auto market demand tends to saturation. There are more types of cars in segment market, which lead to more serious competition of auto industry. More and more customers choose custom cars. More and more automobile manufacturers began to cut costs to enhance the competitiveness. In the face of such a tough market situation, it is necessary for FAW-VW to gradually transform into manufacturing-according-to-sale pattern, and adopt more lean production organization way. Currently FAW-VW production organization brings lot instability in the production process. In this case, the product quality control, logistics process control all need spend much cost, and also result in the decrease of fulfillment rate of the production plan, which makes customer’s orders cannot be delivered on time.In this paper, by studying the FAW-Volkswagen volatility factors of production, analysis of the factors leading to the unstable production, contrasting with Volkswagen advanced production organization way, finding the similarities and differences between Volkswagen and FAW-Volkswagen, targeted research the method to control the instability in production process of FAW-Volkswagen, and improve the stability of the production. Through the Optimization of the order management, production planning and production process, to enhance the stability production, while reducing cost in the actual production quality control and logistics process control.
