Competition in the market continues to strengthen, homogenization trend of products is more and more significant. It will be difficult to maintain the leading position by providing differentiated products, and it will be more difficult to implement differentiation strategy. In the manufacturing company. Low-cost strategy has always been an important strategic position. People try to eliminate all waste arising in the process by lean management, and try to pursuit high flexible manufacture process, zero quality defect, zero inventory by implementing kinds of lean tools, and try to pursuit perfection through continuous improvement, and thus to reduce the cost to a minimum, to provide customers with more value, to win higher market share or higher profits.Requirements on product delivery, quality, price and diversity are higher and higher, lean manufacture can meet customer's requirement on short product delivery time, high-quality, low prices, high varieties with low volume, lean manufacture is considered as the best mode of production.First, this paper introduce connotation of lean manufacture and lean tools, and then introduce the difficulty and problems faced before implementing of lean manufacture, and then demonstrate the necessity of implementing manufacture to solve the problems H company faced now such as long lead time, low efficiency, high cost and so on. Three cases about application of lean manufacture theory on production, quality, and material are explained in the following paragraph.At production, two main reasons are found by analysis of all factors of production efficiency; first is unbalance of cycle time of each cell of whole production line, lots of equipment resource are wasted, second is break down time of the production line is too long, utilization of equipment is too low. The production line balance issue has been improved by implementing of value stream map analysis, and break down rate has been reduced by implementing of TPM and strengthening management of equipment.At quality, we analyze any potential failure model by FMEA, and strengthen controlling on the potential failure. The mistake proof system is implemented to prevent the failure occurred; automatic data acquisition system is used to detect the defects automatically, SPC control system is used in key process to strengthen the monitoring any abnormal changing, and ensure all dimension in expected range. At material, lead time of material is shorted by purchasing locally, contingency manufacture capability is built, which makes it possible to build semi-finish parts as inventory, there is high flexibility in semi-finish part. which help H company to reduce stock level, and improve inventory turning rate.Finally, comparison of the data before and after implementation of lean manufacture shows that production efficiency, product quality, and manufacture lead time, inventory turn rate have been improved much by implementation of lean manufacture in H company. Success in H company about lean manufacture shows that lean manufacture can improve core competency of enterprise, and this case can be reference for lean manufacture application in other manufacturers.
